     Signing a loan agreement with the OPEC Fund for International Development in amount of 30$ million for financing the project of Al-Rakah – Dir El-Zour – Al Hasaqeh Road

    In his statement after signature, Dr. Al- Hussein estimated the Fund's contribution in Syria, which started in 1979 and executed till this day many projects, in amount of 120$ million, most of them were mainly roads' projects, in addition to the projects in agriculture, health and industry. He also clarified that the value of loan, according to the agreement that is signed with the Fund, is dedicated to the General Institution of Road Transportations for financing the project of Al-Rakah, Dir El-Zour – Al Hasaqeh Road in the east region of Syria, which is one of the project that has been founded by Mr. President Dr. Bashar Al-Assad during his visit to Dir Al-Zour City.

    From other side, Dr. Al-Hussein pointed out that a desert road is currently executing out of housing gatherings in Al- Boukamal city, which is expected to be one of the transport centers between Syria and Iraq.

    By his side, Dr. Al-Harbesh, General Director of the OPEC Fund, expressed his wishes following up the business process in Syria, pointing out that the Fund lunched some projects with the private sector such as sharing in Byblos Bank (Syria), bricks industry in Homs besides other future projects.

    Pointing out that Vienna (Austria) is the site of the fund, in addition to other branches in Asia, Africa and other developing countries.
